Kimberly Ruiz AKA Kimby
Kimby is an East LA born and raised Artist. Is an ELAC alumni currently studying for a BFA in Computer Animation and Game Art from Cal State Fullerton. Kimby is active in the LA art scene serving on the artist advisory board for Self-Help Graphics. While they may currently be an Undergraduate student Kimby has served as a teaching assistant for Prison Arts Collective serving incarcerated populations. While their art practice is developing their current Medium of choice is experimental video editing and multimedia animation.
Susana "Susy Riot"Sepulveda
Susana Sepulveda is an Assistant Professor-in-Residence of Gender and Sexuality Studies in the Department of Interdisciplinary, Gender, and Ethnic Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She earned her PhD in the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of Arizona. Focusing on Chicana punk cultures and identities, her research looks at Chicana punk cultural productions including memoirs, zines, music, and performance spaces. She teaches courses in gender and sexuality Studies, women’s studies, and Latina/o/x studies that intersect with her research interests in Chicana and Latina feminisms, popular culture, music, sound studies, cultural studies, and punk. Susana is also the organizer of the annual musical event and fundraiser Riot Grrrl Carnival, a frontwoman for the Los Angeles based punk band Las Sangronas y El Cabron, and creator of the zine series “La Sangrona.”
Dr. Marlén Ríos-Hernández
Marlén is a Assistant Professor at CSU Fullerton in Chicana/o/x Studies and a former UC President's Postdoctoral Fellow. She's a queer Xicana Musicologist from Southeast L.A. focusing on early Southern California punk scenes. She loves all things horror and is an anti-capitalist zine/collage artist. She has been a co-organizer for PunkCon since its inception in 2019 and is its co-founder.

Josie Wreck
Josie Wreck is a transgender Xicanx solo artist from Santa Ana, CA whose sound she describes as chaotic western post punk with a side of no wave and a splash of punk noise.
Arianna Washington
Arianna is a Black Chicana, born and raised in Southeast San Diego, in her 2nd year pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity at CSU Fullerton. She currently works at Titan Radio, CSUF's student run radio station, as the Web Design Director but started in Marketing! She also works as a student journalist and the Multimedia Director for Tusk Magazine. Outside of school and work you can find her collecting records, shooting film, watching movies, the swap meet or punk/hardcore shows!
Adri Garcia
Adri Garcia is a punk femme of color, born and raised in Orange County. She earned her Master's degree in Anthropology by examining the connections between women of color, patriarchal norms, independence, and Orange County Punk. In the future, she plans to pursue a PhD in Ethnomusicology with an emphasis on OC Punk and identity. Adri remains active in the OC punk scene and is the partial owner of Ratas Kallejeras, a DIY punk screen printing business based in Santa Ana. When she isn't screen printing or at a punk show, you can find her at home, curled up with her cats, watching a B movie.

About Us
Founded in 2019, by QTPOC and BIPOC grad and undergrad students and comrades from across ivory towers, PunkCon is a biennial one-day conference and show dedicated to centering and celebrating the diversity of punk artists, musicians, academics, vendors, activists, and scholars. Our namesake, UCR PunkCon, is from our first gathering in 2019 held at UC Riverside.
